The Bradford Teen Association joined Bradford Parks & Rec in October 2009. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays 2:30-6 during the school year in the Teen Lounge which is located in room 26 in the Bradford Academy. This is a safe haven for 7th through 12th graders, where teens can go after school to chillax with friends in a positive environment. We have ping pong, foosball, pool, games, homework space, etc..

BTA Vision Statement
Five years from now the Bradford Teen Association hopes to be a program that operates year round seven days a week and to be financially self-sufficient. We want to provide programs that provide leadership opportunities that will empower and energize the teens of Bradford and surrounding communities. It is our hope that in five years the Bradford Teen Association will not only inspire the teens of Bradford but also the community.
The objective of the Bradford Teen Association is to promote healthy age-appropriate development for teens in Bradford and surrounding communities. This is achieved by providing an environment designed to develop positive social skills and social competence, foster moral development, and enhance self-esteem. All of which are related to reduced risk-taking behavior, academic success, and healthy interpersonal relationships. BTA supports teens in development tasks by providing them a place within the community, other than home and school, where they can be involved in healthy socialization and gain experience in participating as a citizen in a productive manner. It is a safe zone where teens can build social relationships and have fun in a safe supervised environment.
Through the Funding Factory Recycling Program, we are recycling empty printer cartridges. The program is FREE and easy, but it won’t work without your support. By recycling items you would normally throw away, we are earning points that turn into cash. Not only will we receive funds, we will be doing our part to help save the environment. Drop off printer cartridges in the big green box in the lobby of the Bradford Academy!
