Bradford Water & Sewer Commission Minutes

July 13, 2010 at 6:00 pm.

Meeting called to order – 6:00

Visitors & Public Comment

·         Darcy Sterns:  Would like to know the status of the Sewer Project.  The Commissioners referred Darcy to the Town office, Jessica Bean specifically, as the Town is in charge of this project.  We did indicate that we knew that they were still working on funding challenges.  Darcy is going to check with Jessica Bean for more of an update.

Minutes: 

·         Motion made by Robert Terrill and seconded by Lunnie Lang to approve the minutes of June 22, 2010.  So voted. 

·         Motion made by Robert Terrill and seconded by Lunnie Lang to approve the minutes of June 30, 2010.  So voted. 

Sewer - New Business

·         No new business to report.

Sewer – Old Business

·         No old business to review at this point.

·         Motion made by Lunnie Lang and seconded by Larry Drew to approve the Sewer Operators report as written.  So voted.

Sewer - Orders

·         Motion made by Larry Drew & seconded by Lunnie Lang to accept the sewer orders.  So voted.

Water - New Business

·         Note:  The mowing was done quickly and nicely by Daryl Smith – Water Operator is very pleased.

·         Employee Handbook was given to all W&S Members.  Robert Lefebvre would like to see a copy of the “old” handbook in order to compare changes.  Request made to Bridget to contact Jessica Bean and get a copy of the “old” handbook for all S&W members.

·         Update from Office Manager & Water Operator regarding the past due accounts & shut offs.

·         Motion made by Robert Terrill and seconded Lunnie Lang to accept the Water Operators report as written. So voted.

Water – Old Business

·         The request was made to have Bridget contact Mark Youngstrom of Otter Creek Engineering to confirm he will be attending the August 10^th W&S Meeting.

·         After discussion with the SelectBoard on July 8^th 2010 at the regularly scheduled meeting, it was determined that the field behind the sewer plant will not be mowed.

·         After discussion with the SelectBoard on July 8^th 2010 at the regularly scheduled meeting, regarding the back entrance into the sewer plant via the old fairgrounds there was in indication that Phil will add some jersey barriers to help prevent unauthorized personnel. 

·          

Water - Orders

• Motion made by Robert Terrill and seconded by Lunnie Lang to accept the water orders.  So voted.

Tuesday, July 27^th 2010 – Meeting has been cancelled.  The next meeting will be held on Tuesday August 10^th 2010 at 6:00 p.m.

Executive Session:  Brushwood Forest

• Motion made by Robert Lefebvre and seconded by Lunnie Lang to go into executive session, members invited were all present Water & Sewer Commissions & Office Manager, Bridget Simmons at 6:47.
• Motion made by Robert Lefebvre and seconded by Lunnie Lang to adjourn from executive session at 7:17

Action taken from Executive Session:

• Motion made by Robert Lefebvre and seconded by Lunnie Lang to cancel the agreement with Cersosimo Lumber Co. Inc.  Bridget Simmons was asked to contact Stacey Thompson and let him know directly.
